Wedding Car Hire Tips
Want to get to the church on time and in style then read our guide to the do's and don'ts of hiring your wedding cars. Start of by being prepared and plan what you want and how much you have to spend.
Hiring transport to and from the church and the wedding reception ensures you can have relaxing wedding day. The more unusual the car you’re looking for the more expensive it is likely to be. Budget for yours and book as far in advance as you can so that you avoid disappointment.
Which Car?
Choose a car that suits you and your wedding theme. If you’re looking to hire a car with class why not choose a Bentley or Rolls Royce. If you want something faster and more showy try a sports car, perhaps a classic Jaguar or Porsche. Your mode of transport doesn’t just have to a car. If you’re more adventurous hire a bike or ski-doo if you’re planning to tie the knot in a snowy location.
What to do?
Create a realistic budget for hiring your car and remember to include the tip to give to the driver on the day. Go and visit at least three car hire companies. Inspect the condition of the cars and even request a test drive. Make sure to get a car that has plenty of leg room at the back; enough to accommodate the bride and her dress. Another good question to ask is whether the photographer can be the front seat passenger.
Hire the car at least six months before the wedding. Arrange when the payment is due and where and when the driver should arrive. Be sure to sign a contract and confirm the booking a week before the actual wedding day.
Other Transport
If you are having the reception in a different place to the service you might want to think about how your wedding party will get there. You could hire a coach or mini bus or a more unusual option is to hire a red London Bus or a fleet of Mercedes.
