Inventiveness is endless when it comes to finding unique places for the wedding. It's only imagination sets limits.
Today's wedding couples want to have personally wedding venues that reflects who they are. Perhaps on a hilltop, on their golf course, on an exotic beach, in their own garden, on the ski slopes, in a castle, perhaps the local pub, on safari in Africa, on the hills of Tuscany, etc.
You have already found the magical place where you want to be married, but before you decide this wedding venue, you should consider whether it is practicable or not.
Questions to consider:
- How many guests will be invited
- Size of the budget
- Do you want to have the ceremony and reception in the same place
- Does the decor fit your style and wedding colours
- Restaurant or catering
- Coat check and bathroom facilities
- Accessible for wheelchairs
- Enough parking spaces
- Room for dancing and/or orchestra
- Payment schedule, deposits, etc.
- Remember to read the contract carefully, before signing it (hidden costs, overtime charges, etc.)
- Sound system with adequate speakers
- Changing/Relaxing room for the bride and groom
- Is the wedding venue convenient to public transportation
- If the wedding venue is outdoors, is there a backup plan in case of bad weather
- Enough chairs for the ceremony, or must they be rented
- Be sure you have a private area for your ceremony and reception
Good luck with your planning of the wedding venue! |
