Krabi Krabi is an ideal getaway destination teeming with natural attractions including white sandy beaches, fascinating coral reefs, numerous large and small islands and verdant forests with caves and waterfalls. You can have a relaxed vacation if you want to, but there is also a large range of activities, such as canoeing, diving at the Anemone Reef or Shark Point, go by long tailed boats to heavenly islands and beaches or enjoy an elephant trip in the jungle. Krabi with its fantastic cliff formations is perfect for climbers. Here you will also find some of Thailand's most beautiful beaches, such as Railey Beach and the small paradise islands Koh Poda and Chicken Island. In the water outside Krabi you can meet sharks and turtles. Phuket Phuket, the pearl of the Andaman, is the largest island in Thailand and the most visited and popular one. Surin, Patong, Karon, Kata and Kata Noi are popular places. Surin Beach is a tropical paradise and fits those who want tranquillity. Patong never sleeps. Here you find lots of shops, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, markets etc. Karon, Kata and Kata Noi are perfect for relaxation, swimming and sunbathing. From Phuket you go easily to the paradise islands Phi-Phi and Coral. Bangkok The capital of Thailand is the home of ten million people. It is a great and dynamic metropolis, combining the ancient and modern world. Bangkok has a feast of attractions to offer, such as 400 glittering Buddhist temples (Grand Palace, Wat Pra Kaeo, Wat Arun), magnificent palaces, numerous shopping centres, timeless canals and the Chao Phraya River winding through the city, flower market in Chinatown, Siam Square, Little Tokyo, the night market in Patpong etc. The shopping is unlimited and the prices are very reasonable. A tip is to start in the area around Siam Square, there you can find small shops, galleries and department stores. A” must” is to bring home tailor-made clothes. Hua Hin A few hours drive from Bangkok you will find the town Hua Hin. Hua Hin is the oldest beach resort in the country, with clean white sand, crystal clear water and a tranquil atmosphere. The construction of the Royal Family’s Summer Palace transformed the village into a high-society resort town. Here you can enjoy swimming, fishing, and golfing in the country’s first standard golf course. South-eastern Thailand Popular holiday resort in this part of Thailand is Pattaya (one of the oldest vacation centres in Thailand with a huge number of restaurants, nightclubs and shops). In the neighbourhood you find the jungle islands Koh Samet and Koh Chang. The tourism is not so intensive, but here you can experience the original Thailand. Fish and shellfish, which are caught here, are said to be the most delicious in Thailand. Koh Samet is a paradise island with beautiful white coral beaches, such as The Diamond beach and the Paradise Bay. Koh Samet is a national park and it was named after the Samet- tree. If you want a relaxing honeymoon this is perfect! You will find many restaurants but not so many nightclubs and bars. Northern Thailand An exciting destination is Chiang Mai in the northern part of Thailand. Experience the merging of the part into the present where locals are proud of the city’s 700-year history. Chiang Mai was once the centre of Buddhism in northern Thailand. Everywhere you can meet monks in their saffron coloured clothes. The area is full of breathtaking sceneries with mountains and waterfalls. The Chiang Mai residents are warm, gracious and hospitable. If you like shopping – Chiang Mai is perfect! The prices are low and you can shop handicrafts of silk, silver and wood. Activities in Chiang Mai: trekking, elephant shows, bird watching, cycling tours, jungle reviving, rafting, bungee jumping, Thai massage, yoga etc. Visit the River Kwai and the burial ground Kanchanaburi, where some of the thousand's of people building ”the railway of death” are buried. Here you will find Thailand's highest mountain Doi Inthanon approximately 2.590 metres. Visit the floating market in Petchburi, the cave Khao Luang with just over 170 statues of Buddha, or one of Thailand's biggest waterfalls - Pala U Waterfall. The area consists of a rain forest, aged more than 1000 years old. Koh Samui The paradise outside the east cost of Thailand! Here you find the fantastic beach called Chaweng as white as chalk, palm-trees, a turquoise sea, waterfalls, rain forests, orchids and a fantastic sea world around the coral reefs.
