“All roads lead to Rome” – The eternal town” – “Rome was not built in one day”
Rome is the capital of Italy and one of the world’s most beloved places. The eternal town has tempted visitors for more than 2000 years and is still one of the most magnificent and romantic towns in the world. It is easy to enjoy life in Rome, with its cosy streets, lively markets, wonderful fashion shops and restaurants. Not to mention, all world well-known monuments as Colosseum, Piazza de Spagna, Fontana de Trevi, the Vatican etc.

What to see in Rome
All roads lead to Rome, and it is not difficult to understand why. Once Rome was the world’s capital and wherever you are in Rome you can feel its history. The centre of Rome is relatively small and you can easily walk between the different monuments.

Remember to cover knees and shoulders when you visit museums and churches.

Collosseum – an enormous amphitheatre built 80 A.D. Almost 50.000 visitors could watch theatre and bloody performances with gladiators and wild animals.

Forum Romanum – 2000 years back it was the centre for all culture around the Mediterranean Sea.

Pantheon – a roman temple later rebuilt to a church. Italy’s kings and the artist Rafael are buried here.

Fontana de Trevi – most famous from the film ”La Dolce Vita” with Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroianni. If you throw a coin in the fountain, you will return to Rome.

Piazza di Spagna – shopping centre

The Vatican – the Catholic Church’s centre and the pope’s home. Here you will also find the world’s biggest church – the St. Peter’s Church with beautiful ceiling paintings of Michelangelo.

Shopping in Rome

If shopping is you passion, you are in the right place. In the Piazza di Spagna area you will find shops for fashion, designed bags, trendy shoes, jewellery, culinary experiences etc.

Food and drink
It cannot be said too often – the Italian food is fantastic! Food and drink are love both preparing and eating. In Italy the dinner takes hours – so enjoy the food and your company!
