Flower girl

The flower girl walks down the aisle before the bride, scattering flower petals from a basket. The flower girl is usually an adorable little lady, but cute little boys can fill this role, too. Traditionally, she spreads flower petals on the floor before the bride, but other alternatives can be wrapped candies or confetti or blow bubbles. Other alternatives are carrying a bouquet of flowers or carry a bunch of thorn-less roses, which she passes out to the guests as they go down the aisle. The flower girl is usually between four and eight years of age. Most flower children sit with their parents after completing their stroll.
